ABOUT THE COMPANY
Solaer Israel was established in 2008 by Alon and Paula Vilin Segev in partnership with the Spanish company Solaer, as a pioneer contractor for the construction of solar projects. The company established some of the first and most complex projects in Israel.
In 2014, the company won the tender for the construction of a solar project in Naot Hovav, unprecedented for that period, amounting to 38 megawatts. After the sale of the project, the company embarked on an entrepreneurial path and began to initiate and establish projects in Israel and abroad. At the same time, the company initiated land projects in partnership with the scope of approximately 400 megawatts.
In 2020, the company was split into two companies - Solaer Israel and Solaer Renewable Energies. Subsequently, Solaer Renewable Energies was successfully issued on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 2021.
Today, the company is engaged in the initiation, construction and operation of projects in Israel and abroad in the field of renewable energies. The main activity of the company is ground-based photovoltaic projects combined with storage. The company currently has approximately 120 megawatts connected, which include, among others, the ALIZARSUN solar power plant in northern Spain with a capacity of 50 megawatts and over 170 solar systems on roofs throughout Israel.
In recent years, the company has begun to develop new areas of added value, including water desalination and energy storage. The company's flagship project in this field is the ENAPAC project in Chile, which is expected to produce approximately 50 million cubic meters of water per year in a few years. The company is constantly testing innovative technologies and works to integrate them into existing and new projects.
The company operates in several markets abroad, including Spain, Italy, Chile and Poland where it initiates and develops projects through strategic collaborations with local developers.
The joint entrepreneurial activity is conducted under several subsidiaries, among them the RESOLAR company and in some markets the company also serves as the construction and operation contractor.
